i'm thinking of something-katie
Aruba
By: Katie Wheaton Going to Aruba was pretty amazing! Mom and dad bought the plane tickets and we were pretty excited about going! First we all packed our suit cases then we dropped off my two dogs at my grand parent’s house. Next we drove out to Chicago and spent the night there. We had to wake up at five o’clock in the morning so we didn’t get to eat breakfast. We drove to the air port and we went through customs and security everything went very good. Our plane wasn’t there yet so we had breakfast at the airport. At 7:00 clock in the morning we boarded the plane. When we got on the plane my mom said chew some gum when we take off. On the plane I had to sit by my sister which was ok after I gave her a book to read on the plane. Then she fell asleep and then I woke her up by snapping her with snap gum. When we got to Aruba the first thing we did was unpack our suitcases at the hotel. Then we went on an awesome dinner on the beach. My mom and dad ordered a red snapper fish, I ordered mahi mahi and Hannah ordered some Gupert. After dinner we walked on the beach and went back to the hotel and had a good sleep. The next morning we went to look for some seashells and my dad found a black urchin and he almost was going to pick it up. I said to him, “Are you crazy?” He said, “Just a little bit.” I was really glad that he didn’t pick it up. After that we went to a Mexican restaurant. In the middle of the night that night my dad scared Hannah with something cool. It was an Iguana that he had found during the day. Hannah screamed and was a little mad at him. The next day we went to Depalm Island and we took a boat there. Hannah was afraid of boats but she went with us anyways. When we got there we went snorkeling and we saw a barracuda and its fin slapped my foot when it swam away. I thought that was so cool and I said it was a good thing I had my flippers on or else that would have hurt. Then we saw some fish when we were on the beach walking along the wet sand. After we went snorkeling we went swimming with the dolphins Hannah didn’t do it but I was in there with my dad the guy told us to snap our fingers and they jumped rely high then I said to my dad that was awesome. The awesome fish that my dad caught with a strong fishing pole, it took him a little wile and then he fielded it and then we gave it to a restaurant. Then when we retuned form depalm island then we went to bed. In the morning we went to the mall I bout a souvenir for abbie I said mom do you think abbie will like it I said. My mom said she’ll love it. So we went back to the Aruban hotel and went to the beach for a walk. Then we went to the pool and went swimming and I found the Aruban dollar. I was so happy then I found a coconut but I had to get rid of it, and then we went back to the air port. Then we flew back to the Chicago air port and then we drove home. I was talking to Hannah on the way to my grand parent’s house and get my two dogs then we went home. Then I was so happy to see my hamster ruby I asked my grand parents if ruby was okay.
